Day 15: John 6-9 Opening Reflection

The Bread of Life

            Just like in the Old Testament when the people were fed manna that was raining from Heaven, we today saying the same thing about our blessings.  Manna = what is it?  The true Bread of Life, however, is Jesus Christ who came down from Heaven to be with us. 

            The Bread of Life is a Sustainer

            The Bread of Life is a Delicacy that for most is hard to find

            The Bread of Life is the light of the world

            The Bread of Life is a testifier and a testimony

            The Bread of Life is a righteous judge

            The Bread of Life is not of this world

            The Bread of Life is God sent

            The Bread of Life is a proclaimer of the truth

            The Bread of Life is the Giver of Eternal Life.

 

·        Do you have the Bread of Life?

 Unfortunately, some of us are nibbling on the bread of life when we could have the full morsel.  Jesus in the miraculous act of feeding the 5000, asked those around Him to test their inner thoughts even though Jesus knew what he was going to do already.  Is Jesus testing you today?

Are we too stingy with our possessions and talents to offer them up to the Lord so that the Lord can multiply what we have?
