Day 16: John 10-14 Opening Reflection

In today’s prescribed text, we find that Jesus is the GATE, Jesus is the GOOD SHEPARD, Jesus is the VOICE, Jesus is the RESURRECTION, and Jesus is the LIFE…if you only believe.

·        If you only believe then you know Jesus can open the Gate and doors in your life – meaning Jesus is your opportunity in Life – What door have you been knocking at?

·        If you only believe then you know Jesus will lead his sheep, protect his sheep, provide for his sheep, and will go as far as to die for anyone of the sheep.  Jesus will do anything for the safety of his Sheep.  Are you in his safety?

·        If you only believe, then you know the voice of the Lord and only listen to the voice of the Lord.  You run away from the temptations and devilish whispers which lure you into sin but if you truly believe you allow the VOICE to order your steps – the only way to hear from the voice is to interact with the VOICE or you talking to the Lord?

·        If you only believe in the Lord you know he is not only THE Resurrection but he is a revitalizer.  Some of the situations, relationships, opportunities, future plans, and optimistic hopes you had are not dead but just sleeping, for the Lord can resurrect anything if you only believe.  How many times has he resurrected you?  How many times have you been dead to sin?

·        If you really believe then you know that Jesus is the LIFE.  We all want to live the Life… We often connect our celebrities and their over-the-top lifestyles with living the life, but Jesus says that I am the way, the truth and the Life.  Do you really want to live the Life or do you want to live like something you saw on television?
